Pakistan’s Terror Script: Pulwama to Pahalgam, Denial to Gloating, Abetted by India’s Opposition

What links the Pulwama and Pahalgam terror attacks? Well, both were orchestrated by Pakistan-sponsored terrorists, aided by local collaborators or sympathizers, and followed by a familiar pattern of denial and deception from Pakistan and its allies in India’s opposition, including the Congress and INDIA Alliance.

Like Pahalgam, Pakistan and their Team B Indian National Congress had initially denied Pakistan’s involvement in the 2019 Pulwama attack and called it a flase flag operation, but later on the then-minister Fawad Chaudhry went on to boast about it with pride in their Parliament in October 2020. 

This pattern of denial followed by gloating is chilling but familiar.

The Pulwama attack, which claimed 40 CRPF lives, saw Pakistan’s initial denials echoed by some in India’s opposition, who rushed to give them a clean chit.

Yet, Chaudhry’s parliamentary confession exposed their lies, and still, certain opposition voices here deflected blame onto our own army and government, unable to confront Pakistan’s role for their own political reasons. 

Now, after the horrific Pahalgam attack on April 22, 2025, killing 26 civilians, we see the same script: Pakistan denies involvement, calls it a “false flag,” and our opposition ecosystem subtly shifts blame inward, ignoring Pak Defence Minister Khwaza Asif’s admission on live tv of Pakistan’s decades-long support for terrorism. 

This cycle of deceit and violence is infuriating. Pakistan’s audacity to admit sponsoring terrorism while accusing India of staging attacks is a slap in the face to every Indian mourning our losses. It’s time our nation unites against this clear enemy and demands accountability, not just from Pakistan but also from those within who weaken our resolve with their silence or deflection.
